UT WORKERS' RALLY FOR HEALTH CARE AND A PAY RAISE

Tuesday, January 18, 12:00 noon
UT Campus, MLK statue

As the Texas Legislature convenes this Spring, university workers are standing up and demanding that their voices be heard! They are demanding: a decent pay raise that all university workers will receive, affordable health care, and justice on the job.

Please stand in solidarity with UT staff and instructional workers at a rally on campus. It will be held on first day of classes at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue (the day after MLK day). Please remember that at the end of his life Dr. King was in Memphis to support striking garbage collectors.

Students and faculty are welcome to join us to show your support.

If you or an organization / union you work with would like to speak at the rally to demonstrate your solidarity, please contact Pete Haney at: tseu20@mindspring.com or (512) 940-0316

Sponsored by the Texas State Employees Union / CWA 6186. More information: 448-4225.
